Well, this was a nice sunday : long walk in Ixelles, a popular district in Brussels. There was a huge demonstration against Jorg Haider and the Austrian extreme-right government. Beginning of the last week then. We decide to give priority the Nico's voices, to avoid doing them the last days. There are 3 tracks still to record entirely and have them later. Actually, doing that is the most pleasant : recording fast a sole track and hear it sound at the end of the day. Adding arrangements and instruments is different, it requires to be able to get in the atmosphere every time, not easy.

After the string quartet, another visit today : Jerome Bensoussan. Jerome plays with a band called L'Attirail and with Julien Ribot. We met him last novembre during the concerts we did in Paris. Heavy day for him since he plays on 4 tracks : trumpets, clarinet and tuba. Nice klezmer-like clarinet soli that really please the two jewish music amateurs in the band, Gilles and I. We end in a restaurant in front of chips. We're in Belgium, aren't we ?      Nico

We're getting tired : never in bed before 1:00 am and always up at 9:00. Okay, an 8-hour sleep might seem long but it's really not enough. Nicolas's gone back to Paris last night and we start the day by rerecording a song : too slow and rather weak. Live takeon "De nouveau" with Gauthier, Christian and Seb. We listen again and decide to accelerate the tempo. It sounds better but we'll everyone's opinion. We close at 10:00 pm and meet Zoe (she shot one of our videos) in a pizza restaurant.
